Claims · Claim Pack — AED 79 per firm

The claim goes out on time. Every line already approved.

Subcontract work runs on other people's signatures. InstaJack keeps every one of them — so the month's claim is built from approvals the client already gave, not rebuilt from memory in a spreadsheet at midnight.

Sound familiar?

The last week of the month is claim week. It eats the firm.

The work was done in the sun, by men, on dates nobody wrote down. Now it has to become a document a quantity surveyor will accept — assembled from a spreadsheet, a chat history, and your memory of phone calls.

The rebuild, every single month

The claim isn't written during the month — it's reconstructed after it, from photos, threads and delivery notes, by the most expensive person in the firm: you, at midnight.

The variation that evaporates

Work done on a verbal “proceed” has no existence the QS is obliged to respect. Fitted, photographed, argued about — and paid for by you.

Retention, quietly forgotten

A tenth of every certificate stays in the client's hands. Without the dates being tracked, the release dates pass like any other Tuesday — and the money drifts into “we'll chase it next month.”

None of this is bad paperwork. It's no paperwork — the approvals happened, they just happened in phone calls. The fix is capturing the approval at the moment it happens, on the record, where a QS can see it.

Watch it happen

A claim with nothing to hide.

This is the real claim flow, running live. Watch the stack build, the claim go out, and the certificate come back — including the cut. Honest numbers, all the way down. Drive it yourself with the steps.

The cut is not hidden and not negotiated in a corridor. It sits on the certificate, against the line it belongs to — and on your record, for the next conversation.

This claim is alive. It builds itself — or tap a step and drive it.

How a claim works

Approvals first. Then the claim writes itself.

  1. 1.0

    Record the work

Progress against each contract line as the month happens — a percent, a photo, from the site. The claim's raw material is created while the work is in front of you.

  2. 2.0

Client approves variations on the link

A variation is a small quote. The client approves it on the link before the work starts — and that approval, kept on record, is exactly what makes it claimable later.

  3. 3.0

Build the claim from the stack

At month end the claim assembles itself: contract lines at their progress, plus every approved variation. Nothing else can get in — there is no door for it.

  4. 4.0

    Certificate lands; invoice it

The certificate comes back — cuts and all, written against their lines. One tap turns the certified figure into the invoice. The number never changes hands twice.

What you get

A claim that carries its own evidence.

All of this is the Claim Pack — built for firms working under a main contractor's terms.

Claim Pack

Approvals tied to the exact lines

When the client approves, the approval is stored against the precise lines and amounts he saw — not a screenshot of a chat, not your word against his. The claim quotes the record.

Claim Pack

Signed first, claimed second

A variation enters a claim only after the client approved and signed it on the link. The rule is strict — and it's the rule that ends the “I never agreed that” conversation before it starts.

Claim Pack

Cumulative claims, properly kept

Percent complete per line, previous claims carried forward, every claim numbered in sequence — CLM-3001, CLM-3002, CLM-3003 — so this month always stands on last month, and the chain never breaks.

Claim Pack

Retention, tracked to the day

Every certificate's retention is held on record with its release built in: half at taking-over, half after the defects period — both counted from the taking-over date you recorded. The money has dates, and the dates have alarms.

Claim Pack

Certified becomes the invoice

When the certificate lands, one tap turns the certified amount into the invoice — the QS's own number, word for word. There is no second version of the figure anywhere in your firm.

Claim Pack

What the QS sees

The claim arrives carrying each line's approval with it. The QS checks the claim against his own client's taps — the fastest certification is the one nobody has to argue for.

The hard room

“The main contractor's QS will tear it apart.” Let him try.

Every line walks in with its approval.

When the QS challenges a line, you don't scroll a chat or swear to a phone call. The claim shows the line, the amount, and the client's own approval of exactly those lines — given on the link, dated, kept. The argument ends inside the document, not in a corridor.

Every variation — approved and signed before it was claimed Every progress line — recorded as the work happened Every claim — numbered, chained to the ones before it
And the cut? It's written down too.

Certificates cut lines — that's their job, and no software stops it. What changes here: the cut lands against the line it belongs to, with the claimed figure and the certified figure side by side. Nothing vanishes, nothing is quietly re-based. Next month's claim starts from the certificate's truth — and so does the conversation.

The money truth

Claims live in the Claim Pack. AED 79 a month.

Progress claims, signed variations and retention tracking switch on with the Claim Pack — AED 79 per firm, per month, never per man and never per claim. Quoting and invoicing stay Core, free forever. If you never work under a main contractor, you never need this page — and you never pay for it.

Claims questions

Asked by subcontractors, answered straight.

Can I claim work the client hasn't approved?+

Contract lines, yes — you claim them at their percent complete. Variations, no — a variation enters a claim only after the client has approved and signed it on the link. That's not a limitation; it's the protection. The one claim a QS can't tear apart is the one where every extra already carries the client's own approval.

The certificate cut one of my lines. What happens now?+

The cut is written against that line — claimed figure beside certified figure — and you invoice the certified amount in one tap. The difference isn't deleted or hidden: it stays on the record, so next month's claim and any conversation with the QS start from the same page.

Retention — when do I actually get it back?+

Retention is tracked per certificate: half releases at taking-over, half after the defects-liability period — both dates counted from the taking-over date recorded in InstaJack. The releases sit in your work list before they arrive, so the money is chased by the calendar, not by somebody remembering.

Does the main contractor need an account?+

No. Variations arrive as links — he opens, reads the lines, approves and signs. Claims and certificates travel the same way. No install, no account, no password on his side; the records land on yours.
